The problem starts when the photographer takes the first photo at the start line. By the end of the event, thousands of shots exist. The athlete knows their face and number are somewhere — but not where.
Traditional approach: manual sorting after the event. The photographer goes home, reviews 5000 photos, searches for numbers. The athlete waits days or weeks.
Our approach: processing during the event. Every photo enters the system immediately. OCR detects bib numbers. Face grouping links shots of the same person. Quality scoring rejects blurry frames.
The athlete enters their number or scans a QR code. The system returns their gallery — often before they finish the race. This isn't magic. It's a pipeline designed for real event environments.
Key element: offline-first. At many events, internet is unstable or unavailable. The system must work locally and sync when connection returns.
